Development & neighbourhood character

What would you never trade away for new development?

Longer version: P08 · How much additional density should Ward 14 accept, where should it go, and what neighbourhood or heritage features are you unwilling to sacrifice for development?

Your answer

Maria Voutsinas

I would never trade away safety and quality. New development should not compromise those two requirements.

Denise Walcott

I would never trade away residents’ safety, protections for existing tenants or the employment lands that sustain local jobs. I support more housing, but growth must protect the people already here. That includes safeguarding Toronto–Danforth’s film-production cluster, public green spaces and the services our community depends on.
